Access
One of our core goals for our Artist Access Program is to provide a high quality facility to professional glass makers. This program is shared with our Residency and Education program and has public viewing and access at times. The following information is a guide to help you understand and access our facility.
The Canberra Glassworks (CGW) has the following for hire:
- Hot shop for both glass blowing and hot casting
- Flame working facilities
- Kilns for both casting and fusing
- Mould making facilities
- Cold working facilities
- Storage
- Short Term Accommodation
- Studios
General Access Hours
We are open seven days a week from 8am to 5.30pm with extended hours on Mondays to 8pm and Wednesdays to 9pm
Eligibility
Our facility and equipment is available to skilled, professional, glass makers who are able to demonstrate to Canberra Glassworks staff the safe and proper use of the tools and equipment in our facility.
Terms
Prior to any use of the CGW facilities and equipment artists will need to:
- provide a certificate of insurance
- sign Canberra Glassworks’ User’s Agreement
- agree to the Canberra Glassworks’ Workshop Regulations
- be inducted into each area and each piece of equipment being hired

Payment
Your invoice will be e-mailed to you during the first week of each month. You will have 14 days from the date of the invoice to make payments. Payment can be made by cash, credit card, Eftpos on site or via internet. Canberra Glassworks payment and EFT information is available on Canberra Glassworks’ invoices.
Discounts
CGW offers a 5% discount to any pre-paid rental of $500.00 exc GST or more. We also have a student discount policy.
