Chances with TV Glass Paperweight

Neil Roberts was a sculptor, installation and glass artist who liked combining glass with other materials. These spring school holidays, we’ll be using the our current exhibition, Neil Roberts Chances with Glass as inspiration to make glass paperweights using the method of glass casting – making a clay model first – using all sorts of tools – and then casting it in glass recycled from TV screens!!†

Blooms, Bugs and Critters tile

Be inspired by the cooler season and create your own glass masterpiece! Work with a professional artist to create your own frozen frieze. Learn to cut and fuse glass in this 45 minute session.†

Spring tile

Make your own spring-inspired tile with a professional artist in just 20 minutes. The whole family can get involved!†

MYO Bird/Paperweight

Work with an artist on the hotshop floor to shape molten glass, add colour and using different tools create your own unique glass paperweight or bird.

Ages:14+ only
Days:Friday 29 September and 6 October only

†All glass must anneal (cool slowly at a controlled rate) in the kiln before being taken home. Postage can be arranged at an additional cost if you are unable to return the following week to collect.
