Kiln forming

Canberra Glassworks is pleased to offer the following classes for adults(18+) as a part of its Summer 08 Education Program.

The term kiln forming covers a wide range of activities in glass forming.

Fuse a Platter runs over two half days; on the first day you will come along with some ideas and inspiration, do some tests to look at patterns, colours and different effects that are achieved through fusing glass. On the second day, based on the
results of your test pieces (and other people's too) you will create your own platter! Your finished platter will be roughly the size of an A4 piece of paper..

Fused Christmas Decorations gets you right into the festive season with a fun class that allows you to create your own unique collection of fused glass decorations.

Glass Painting will introduce various techniques of painting on glass with low fire enamels. The class will cover enameling techniques, materials and tools, kiln-firings and OH&S.
