BEAD MAKING/LAMPWORKING

Canberra Glassworks, in conjunction with CIT Solutions, is pleased to offer the following classes as a part of its Term 2 Education Program for 2010 . Please note, all enrolments are through CIT Solutions website at www.citace.com.au

All classes are taught at Canberra Glassworks, Wentworth Ave, Kingston.

Bead a Bracelet with Miesje de Vogel

Course fee: $235

For ages 14 and above

Have you done an Off the Street bead and want more? Are you curious about how to make your own glass beads? Then this is a perfect class for you. In two half-day sessions students will be introduced to the wonderful world of bead making with various decorations. Your sessions will include making enough beads to create you own, strung, unique bracelet. No glass working experience is required.

Bead a Bracelet (Part Two) with Liz Darvill

Course fee: $235

For ages 14 and above

Using your base knowledge from "bead a bracelet", this class will cover the next steps in your flameworking pathway by making beads with twisted and plunged dots. You will be taught how to use stringers and twisties to create "Tartan style beads" to add to your unique and gorgeous glass bracelet. Experience in Bead a Bracelet would be preferred.

Nine Hour Necklace with Miesje de Vogel

Course fee: $345

For ages 14 and above

Do you love beautiful glass jewelry? Are you curious about how to make your own glass beads? Then this is a perfect class for you. In two days students will be introduced to the wonderful world of bead making with various decorations. Your sessions will include making enough beads to create your own strung, unique necklace. No glass working experience is required. Students who have completed Bead a Bracelet are most welcome to enroll to practice their techniques and produce more of their own beautiful beads with an instructor on hand.
