Hotshop Hire
The following equipment is available for hire to trained artists in the Hotshop:
• 350kg Fred Metz designed Tank Furnace (with another 350kg furnace to be developed in the future)
• 80Kg Pot Furnace for melting colour / casting glass
• Four glassblowing workstations each with
- Blowing bench
- Tools bench
- Marver
- Dedicated natural gas, oxygen and compressed air
- Easy access to annealing space and furnaces
- Rolling yokes.
• The choice of 4 x gloryholes with another 4 to be developed in the future.
- 1 x large 500mm diameter x 1300mm deep
- 1 x medium 400mm diameter x 1000mm deep
- 2 x small 350mm diameter x 750mm deep
- 3 x annealers with internal dimensions of 1150mm W x 1000mm d x 1660mm h
• 1 x large casting annealer with roll out bed, 1250 wide x 1800mm long x 800mm high
• 2 x Pickup boxes - suitable for graal and colour pickup
