Get up close and personal with glass!

with our "off the street" program

Try out a 15 - 20 minute session and make your own piece of glass

Saturdays from 10am to 4pm

Sundays from 1pm to 4pm

Beadmaking $25 Sundays 1pm-4pm

Taught by an experienced artist work in front of an open flame using a mandrel and glass rods to create a beautiful bead. Your bead along with two complimentary buffer beads will be strung and posted to you at no extra cost.

(Participants must be 14 years+ Postage FREE)

Kiln Forming for $36 - you will create a colourful postcard sized tile of your own design. Using pre-cut sheet glass you will arrange the different coloured pieces over a clear base of glass which is then fused in a kiln overnight. A slightly more contemplative technique which will bring out the glass artist in you! Your glass postcard will be available for collection at a later date or posted to you for a small extra fee.

Hot Glass for From $55 - Experience the drama of glass blowing in our state-of-the-art Hot Shop!

Working one on one with an experienced glass blower, be guided through the processes to make a stylish paperweight. Shape molten glass, adding colour and using different tools to create your own unique piece of glass. Your paperweight will be available for collection at a later date or posted to you for an extra fee.

Hot Glass Deluxe $65 Saturdays 10am - 4pm Sunday 1pm - 4pm

Let your imagination run wild!

With a little more glass to play with, you can have the ultimate Off The Street experience! Build your design with multiple layers of glass. Create corkscrew effects, bubbles or use shears and pliers to create an animal of your choice. Your paperweight will be available for collection the week following or posted to you.

(Participants must be 14 years+ Postage $15)

Sessions go for 15 to 20 minutes. We ask that you arrive 10 minutes early for your session to sign in at reception.  Please wear covered shoes, and cotton clothes. All safety gear is provided and you will be led by a professional glass maker at all times. Phone us on 02 6260 7005
