Off the Street

Get up close and personal with glass!

Try out a 15-20 minute session and make your own fantastic glass artwork .Our Off-the-Street program offers visitors a unique opportunity to make their own artwork in glass assisted by an experienced glass artist. You'll be guided through all the prcoesses to make your own fantastic glass object. No experience necessary!

Bead Making $30 - Sundays 1pm-4pm
Taught by an experienced artist, you will work in front of an open flame, using a mandrel and glass rods to create a beautiful bead. Your bead along with two complementary buffer beads will be available for collection the following week or posted to you.
(Participants must be 14 years+. Young people under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is over 18. Postage $5)

Hot Glass $60 - Saturdays & Sundays 10am-4pm
Experience the drama of glass blowing in our state of the art Hot Shop! Working one on one with an experienced glass blower, be guided through the processes to make a stylish paperweight. Shape molten glass adding colour and using different tools to create your own unique design. Your paperweight will be available for collection the following week or posted to you.
(Participants must be 14 years+. Young people under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is over 18. Postage $15)

Hot Glass Deluxe $70 Saturdays & Sundays 10am-4pm
Let your imagination run wild! With a little more glass to play with you can have the ultimate Off The Street experience! Build your design with multiple layers of glass. Create corkscrew effects, bubbles or use shears and pliers to make a paperweight of uour own creation. Your paperweight will be available for collection the following week or can be posted to you.
(Participants must be 14 years+. Young people under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is over 18. Postage $15)

*Each session lasts for 15-20 minutes. Please arrive 20 minutes early.
Make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment and payment must accompany each booking
Covered shoes and cotton clothes MUST be worn.
Long hair MUST be tied back.
Materials and safety gear will be provided.
