Artists

The Canberra Glassworks provides the unique context in which artists are able to create their work.  Artists can hire facilities and studios to create their own work.

Canberra Glassworks state-of-the-art hire facilities include a full hot-shop with 350kg tank furnace, four glory holes and benches; a complete complement of coldworking  equipment; extensive facilities for a wide range of wax and mould making process for glass casting; a fully equipped flameworking area including eight torches and extensive fleet of kilns covering the gamut of kiln-formed processes. 

This comprehensive facility translates into important production, exhibition and retail opportunities, as well as learning and work opportunities for glass artists.  Canberra Glassworks also provides opportunities for glass artists to teach, demonstrate and assist across the expanse of public and artistic programs.
